The grammar rules are very strict (not that the Roman writers used to stick to them) also it is pronounced using harder consonants than modern Mediteranean languages.

We had to sing some works in latin in my high school chorus. Our teacher was very picky in how we pronounced the words.

hello.

latin is pretty strict. the arrangements i sing in voice lessons are for the most part in italian, but there was this one song i sang in latin....and i thought the sounds in itlalian were difficult...latin was insane!
