Slytherin's Common Room!

Oh god, I've missed a lot. 😐

BB, we are doing story challenge. each house writes a story about being at hogwarts with the members in their house.

Okay...so our idea is to write a story...but with us being the characters of it.

This is good...I like this ideas.

So, now all we have to figure out is how long this should be...what the rules of writing it are...and how long we give people to submit it ?

I am thinking it should be at least a couple of paragraphs long...it should have a good plot, meaning a introduction of characters...a main story event and then a resolution.

I am thinking that with School starting right around the corner..that a lot of people may not have all that much time to work on this challenge...so we may have to extend the deadline a little.

Any suggestions ?

I think even the horse's submission would be enough to beat whatever the other three houses will come up with horse

I'm thinkin along the lines of each house coming up with there own unique story 😄 so we can actually grade on originality 😄

That sounds good... so would it be based on something in a certain book... or just any book?

ok well here are some rules i made up if you choose to go with them:

1) a minimum of 4 ( you think thats too little?) paragraphs
2) use appropriate houses for members (EX: just because tass is my friend doesnt mean i can make her a slytherin in the story)
3) cursing is allowed, but minimize its usage please
4) correct grammar (punctuation, spelling, etc.) and vary your word choices.
5) no repetitive bashing of one or more members in the story ( though insults CAN be used in certain instances...just nothing to drastic people!)
6) MAKE IT FUNNY!

🙂 well if anyone wants to delete one or add one just post it here!!! we should submit the idea and rules to the IHCT in the next couple days...the heads are starting to whine 😉

I think four paragraphs may be too little, but other than that, I think those rules are good. ✅ Definatley make it funny. So what should the Slytherin's story be about?

Sorry for interrupting you guys but I just had to tell you that I think you guys are doing great with this challenge ideas.

I really like where you guys are going with this idea 🤣

For the main characters in the mini-story, I think they should be the most active users, but everyone should be mentioned it least once? For example: If the scenario is sneeking out of the common room at night: one slytherin that isn't active at all could just be sleeping or just didn't want to sneek out or soemthing.

alright then binga...how many paragraphs.....6 or 7 minimum? that sounds about right. we'll wait till our prefects get back to approve everything we've concocted. have a good night everyone!! ^_^

thats good LS, but I'm thinking it should not be too funny, some funny but also serious stuff in it to. that way it seems more like JK HP

I agree that 4 paragraphs might not be long enough...4 might be just enough to get a good story going.

I think maybe a minimum of 6 and not to exceed 8 would be a good rule of thumb.
Also, I like the Rules for the challenge posted by LadySlytherin..

I also like the idea of using members that are here more often than not as the main characters...but all members should be mentioned. This should be an added rule...for it becomes a challenge to name everyone !

Since tomorrow is Wednesday, and it was agreed upon that our Challenge would be posted by then...let us agree on this now, and I or someone else will post the Challenge in the Challenge Thread !

Great Job Slytherins !!! Keep it up and we will win this Challenge as well
