Who took the candy bar?

During the lunch hour at school, a group of five boys visited a nearby lunch wagon. One of the five boys took a candy bar without paying for it. When the boys were questioned by their department head, they made the following statements:

Prins: Neither Trin nor I did it.
Rookie: It was Prins or Cary.
Cary: Both Prins and Rookie are lying.
Arthur: Cary's statement is not true; one of them is lying and the other is telling the truth.
Trin: What Arthur said is wrong.

When the in-charge for the canteen was consulted, she said, "Three of these boys are always truthful, but everything that two of them say will be a lie." Assume that the in-charge is correct, can you determine who took the candy bar?

😄

So, anyone care to guess? 🙂

I'm trying my hand right now 😄

😂

Ok, here's me guess:

Spoiler:
Cary and Arthur are lying. Saying that they are ones lying is the only way not to screw up the entire thing. So if they are lying, this makes what Prins, Rookie and Trin say true. So, Prins says that neither he or Trin did it. Rookie says that it was either Prins or Cary did it, and since Prins is telling the truth, then it must have been Cary ✅

Whew, that was hard! I'm probably wrong too....

i'm trying... but
i got into suspension, that they all are lying... 😕

Here's the proof...

All it needs is to satisfy these two statements:
1. One of the boys took the candy bar.
2. Three of the boys are always truthful and everything the two said are lies.

Now, let 'YES' be the one who took the candy bar.

We consider Prins first.

If Prins = YES, then
Prins = Lie
Rookie = Truthful
Cary = Lie
Arthur = Truthful
Trin = Lie

Therefore, not satisfied. 🙁

If Rookie = YES, then
Prins = Truthful
Rookie = Lie
Cary = Lie
Arthur = Truthful
Trin = Lie

Therefore, not satisfied 🙁

If Cary = YES, then
Prins = Truthful
Rookie = Truthful
Cary = Lie
Arthur = Lie
Trin = Truthful

Therefore, satisfied 😛p

If Arthur = YES, then
Prins = Truthful
Rookie = Lie
Cary = Lie
Arthur = Truthful
Trin = Lie

Therefore, not satisfied 🙁

If Trin = YES, then
Prins = Lie
Rookie = Lie
Cary = Truthful
Arthur = Lie
Trin = Truthful

Therefore, not satisfied 🙁

See? It was indeed Cary who took the candy bar.

Bad Cary.. Bad. 🙄

I WAS RIGHT!!!!!! 😱 I CAN'T BELIVE IT!!!!!!! 💃 💃 💃

it was to difficult to me.. maybe coz of the language... 😕

i was right the first time 😛
