Where are they now?
Orlando Bloom is now A-list and is moving up inth world, Elijah wood was a bit of a star before LOTR as was Liv Tyler, Viggo Mortensen has a new film called Hidalgo, and Sean Bean is still with us.
So what is going on with Billy boyd, Dom, Sean Astin, John-rhys-davis Ian mcKellen, and all the others that seemed to have dissapeared?
not dissapeared, but it in though about doing an 6-7 year project.....some cast want a break,
Sir Ian is still doing the X-Men stuff,
Viggo is in that new desert film, based on a true story as well and looks quite good.
as for the hobbit folk, I have no idea,
Orlando Bloom is probably working on POTC2, he has also done Ned Kelly & stars along Sean Bean & Brad Pitt in "Troy" (which shall kick ass I say)

Billy Boyd: Doing voice in Seed of Chucky, coming out in 2005 I think. Also, a new romantic comedy...name I can't remember actually. There is also rumour that he has been offered a record contract.
Dominic Monaghan: I don't know about him. I know that he's supposed to be in a new TV series about being stranded on an island. I' think it's called....um, I'm not sure. For some reason, the name 'Hole' popped into my head! Also, SPiVS is coming out soon. That and 'An Insomnic's Nightmare'.
Sean Astin is in 50 First Dates. I went to see it today and I had no idea that he was in it then he appeared and I was like oh my god 😱 he was so funny in it and he had a lisp and did work outs all the time and wore such stupid clothes, like vests with holes 😆 And then it came up that he kept having wet dreams coz he was on steroids 😆 I thought it was soo funny 😄
Yaaaay I read about Billy doing the voice for Seed of Chucky I have to see that, the other ones are so funny! And Dom's doing a new TV series 😱? YAAAAY how cool 😄!
I wanna see Hidalgo too it looks good 😄 and I can't wait to see Troy with Orlando AND Bean 😄 it'll be great! And then The Calcium Kid too AND then Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind with Elijah 😄 wooohooo great load of movies to look forward too 😄

arrrgghh!!!! I just wrote the LONGEEESSSTTT post that I have written in my life regarding our actors' happenings so far..(yes..even longer than my usual posts)...but my computer freaking froze and I had to shut it down without saving what I wrote yet...🙁

Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf)
- He’s doing The Asylum to be released this year.
- Also, X-Men 3 will definitely be made though they still don't have the final script and they haven’t started the production yet. Sir Ian isn’t signed on yet, but he already expressed his interest to be in it after seeing the greatness that is X2. It was hilarious because when Sir Ian told Bryan Singer (the director) that he wants to be in X3, Bryan was like, "Yeah, OK. But only if you will give me some ROTK premiere tickets." And indeed, Ian gave him 6! 😆 X3 should come out on 2006.
Elijah Wood (Frodo)
- As we all already know, he had been in Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, a very good movie IMO. It has been getting several good reviews and RottenTomatoes gave it 92%, which is saying a lot. 😉
- He’s also filming The Yank and Sin City both to be released on 2005.
- He’s also doing the voice of Mumble in Happy Feet set to be released on 2006.
Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn)
- He had just done Hidalgo as Frank Hopkins... I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m looking forward to do so, it looks promising.
- Alatriste is now in pre-production, but he will be there, and it should come out on 2005.
Dominic Monaghan (Merry)
- He’s in Shooting Livien, a dark psychological drama that comes out this year.
- The Purifiers, a British Martial Arts Feature Film is in post-production... so don’t worry... he’s still on the go... 😉
Billy Boyd (Pippin)
- As some already know, he’s doing the voice of Glen, Chucky’s son in Seed of Chucky. It will be released this year.
Sean Astin (Sam)
- As we already know, he was in 50 First Dates, it just came out earlier this year.
- He will also be in Smile, Slipstream, and Elvis Has Left the Building, they should all come out this year.
Sean Bean (Boromir)
- He will be in Troy as our Odysseus, and I will definitely see it no matter what happens. 😉
- He will be in National Treasure with Nicolas Cage. It is an adventure movie set to come out this year.
- Venetian Heat is in pre-production. He will be there as General Schneider. It’s a movie about the World War II Italy and Germany.
Orlando Bloom (Legolas)
- As almost everyone of us know, he will be in Troy as Prince Paris, along with Sean Bean. It will come out soon.
- Calcium Kid has been completed. It should come out this year.
- Haven is in post-production and it should also come out this year.
- He’s also in Morocco filming Kingdom of Heaven as Balian of Ibelin. I saw a pic of him, and he looks fine in it. He will be a blacksmith (again) but he looks different from Will Turner of course. He’s suited in a ranger outfit or something of that like, having some dirt and all and I’m kind of glad about that. It will come out on 2005.
- He will also be in Elizabethtown with Kirsten Dunst. It’s set to come out next year.
- Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is confirmed to be made. It is expected to come out on 2006 though they haven’t started filming yet.
John Rhys-Davies (Gimli)
- He will be in The Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement. It will come out this year.
-He will also be in The Lost Angel coming out this year too.
- He’s also doing the voice of Santa in Catching Kringle It will also be released on the holiday of this year.
Cate Blanchett (Galadriel)
- She will be Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator this year.
- The Life Aquatic and Little Fish are both in post-production.
Brad Dourif (Grima Wormtongue)
- He had just completed filming The Hazing. Like everything else, it will come out this year.
- As usual, he’s still doing the voice of Chucky in Seed of Chucky. He will be working with our own Billy. 🙂
Bernard Hill (King Theoden)
- Our majesty will be in Wimbledon, coming out this year.
Ian Holm[/i] (Bilbo Baggins)
- Our little Mr. Bilbo Baggins is going to be in The Day after Tomorrow. It’s coming out this year also.
- He will also be working with Lady Galadriel in The Aviator
[b]Sir Christopher Lee (Saruman)
- Sir Chris will be back again as Count Dooku in Star Wars: Episode III in 2005.
- The Last Unicorn is in pre-production, also coming out next year.
John Noble (Denethor II)
- He’s directing The Mystery of Natalie Wood. It will be a TV special which is gonna be shown any time this year.
Miranda Otto (Eowyn)
- The Flight of the Phoenix is in post-production, as well as In My Father’s Den. They are both set to be released this year.
Andy Serkis (Smeagol/Gollum)
- He will be in Standing Room Only
- He will also have a cameo in 13 Going On 30. I saw the trailer and his cameo in theater, and it looks promising. I was surprised when I saw him there. 😄
- He’s also coming out in Samantha’s Child
-He will be Tubal in The Merchant of Venice
Liv Tyler (Arwen)
- Lovely Liv Tyler as we already know was in Jersey Girl as the lovely Maya. It’s still on the theatres so if you wanna see her and you can stand Ben Affleck, go see it.
- She will also be in Lonesome Jim... it’s in post-production right now and expected to come out some time this year.
Karl Urban (Eomer)
- He will be in The Chronicles of Riddick side by side with Vin Diesel. He will play the character of Vaako. It will also come out this year.
- He’s now filming The Bourne Supremacy.
Hugo Weaving (Elrond)
- He’s filming Peaches. Agent Elrond isn’t as busy lately as he was the previous years.
David Wenham (Faramir)
- He will be a monk in Van Helsing... hehehe...I saw the trailer and he somehow made me laugh with his scenes... I don’t know why...
- He’s doing Stiff and The Brush-Off on TV.
- He’s now filming Three Dollars.

I was reading an interview with Billy and I found the following in the interview:
While he's waiting for his music career to explode, Billy has been busy writing, penning a screenplay with pal Dominic Monaghan who plays fellow hobbit Merry in the Lord Of The Rings films.
"The script is about two British guys - who are similar to me and Dom - who head to America when they hear about the perfect job. On the way, they get into loads of scrapes as they try to create their dream lives," he explained.
"We've had a lot of interest from producers so far so we're hopeful that it will be successful".
