Ravenclaw Common Room!!

Are you implying a link between the fact that Ravenclaws are meant to be the smartest and the vast majority of members are female? 😉

Lol even though I would like to agree 😛 I think there could be other factors involved which could explain this phenomena. Plus I know if you look at the overall education levels you will find that females are in the lead when it comes to overall grades but not to the level reflected in this House. There's also the fact that the House system is based largely on facets of the personality as a whole - which means that even though Ravenclaws are known for their brains other House members can be equally or more smart but either lack or have other characteristics and behaviourisms that match the basic character definition of a Ravenclaw and hence end up in other Houses (e.g. Hermione Granger). 🙂

^Thought I'd just go into that lest we ended up with a big battle of the sexes in the Ravenclaw common room 😖

Things are getting a little tense whilst the waiting continues for the next challenge so I thought I'd help, you don't have to accept it btw 😉

From what I've gathered the general consensus is for the founders story including details such as the foundation of Hogwarts and what implications that had e.g. the problems with Slytherin's ideas plus whether entries should describe their founder's nature. Why not make those the pre-reqs? As for the rest well thats where people can get creative and think about what it is about their founder they find interesting enough to write about. In terms of length howabout an average of 4 paragraphs and a max of 6 or something like that.

Remember these are just suggestions and you don't have to use them or you can and expand on them as much as you want but please post your the challenge in full in the Challenge thread asap.

i just got the pm that our challenge is gonna be the founder story.... so...... lets begin.

firstlly..... are we gona do like a brain storm of ideas that we want included? and how aer we gonna write it? like from rowenas perspective or what?

Those are all the pre'requisites^ and everything else is creative like events, which style you write it in e.g. first person or biographical etc

Now, it's true we don't know too much about the founders that is why it's creative but we do have to stick with what do know of them and their characters which means nothing too far fetched e.g. Rowena Ravenclaw can't prefer tigers over ravens/eagles lol or Helga Hufflepuff probably wont be really loud and demanding, Salazar Slytherin wont be nice towards muggles and Godric Gryffindor probably wont be scared of rising to a challenge.

In regards to the Scoring system and Deadline, those are still being worked out but until then we can get cracking on the entries 😉

So, what shall we do bout the scoring system and especially the deadline?
