FINALLY...THE TIME WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR...LET THE FIRST SEMESTER CHALLENGE BEGIN!!!
Task Description:
Your job is to create two spells for once scenario. The topic: you need to travel either back, or "sideways" in time to a parallel universe, and try to PREVENT a past event from happening. Include a breif description of the spell allowing you to travel in time, as well as a description of the spell allowing you to prevent the monumental event from happening (NOTE: this is hogwarts people...preventing something in the magical world from happening...and please, no cliche "voldemort was never born" ones. Your spell must have something to do with your house!). The spells need to have meaning to them; you need to give me background information as to why you chose the words for the spell; what deeper meaning they have.
Here's my example:
I'm a Slytherin...I'm going to travel back in time, making sure that Crabbe and Goyle never take those cupcakes out of the air so those rotten little Gryffindors couldn't ever have made a polyjuice potion.
Time Travel: "Omnum Evertae"
Why did i chose that: do some research on latin origins and their meanings. id probably say something along the lines of evertae meaning inverse, or backward, and omni meaning one, so one way backwards. something like that
Spell to aid me in the past: "Dessertum Combustia" (obviously not something this corny...you get it)
Description: i chose this spell because its a dessert and combustia is the root word of combust, or explode. id make the pastries disintigrate so no one would ever see them!
