Ok people it seems that I will have to say loudly what I feel most of us secretly knows or feels. Perhaps we have come to a stage when we should give a rest to the " Inter House Challenge Thread" for a while. It seems that we are running out of inspiration, or I'm very much wrong?
The frutifull discussions we used to have are very much exosted because the last inection of entusiasm with the release of POA (the movie) is already used and very little has remained. We can of course announce summer holliday for the students of IHCT, which could last for lets say 2 or 3 weeks, because hardly anyone is online.
A lot of time has passed since the last challenge and we still do not have an idea. With this I'm not blaming the house of Slytherin because the situation is the same with all of us, even if we contract a challenge, it will be empty without originality.
Perhaps the boards will come to life again once HBP sees light and the IHCT will be full again, with students chating, bashing, screaming, winking and smiling to eachother. We had a lot of happy moments, among the happiest that I remember was the " Happy 100 pg party" down at the cafe🙂. There were also moments which I hope we all managed to put behind.
So if all of you agree maybe, we should all go on vaccation with IHCT, and hope to see you around in the other threads .......🙁

Uni, I think that we should continue, don't give up yet!!! The slytherin's will come up with an idea soon, plus, if anyone has one, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you PM'ed them and shared your idea with them.
I just dont' think that we should throw in the towel and cancel the Inter-House challenges, sorry, I don't.
does anyone have a renewed list of all the members??? we should all try to find there msn or yahoo or what ever they have addresses and email them so they will know we want them back or they can come tell us they quit or sumtin!!!
i agree with rogue on this one....we shouldnt just quit becuz its not exciting right now... what would every one else do if we shut down the IHCT??? i know what i would do...i would leave and not come back and then i wouldnt know when it was back on so i wouldnt be coming.....so lets keep it alive for all those ppl who do come and have fun and have great times and make happy memories

Well this thread is for the House Challenges and for people to discuss the recent challenges...to post their house answers or anything to do with the challenges..
At the mo..we have just finished a challenge and is waiting for our winning house Slytherin to come up with the next challenge 😄
I dont think we should give up..it maybe be going a lil slow right now but we should keep our hopes and spirits up...maybe this next challenge will bring alot of us back together but i aint putting any pressure on the Slyths about making the next house task some kind of miracle task 🙂
Maybe we should all keep coming up with ideas on how to bring people back to KMC 😬 while the tasks arent ready yet... just a thought
wel could do something like make up a quidditch team (in this forum) and then we could have some questions then if u got the question right u would "score" a goal or sumtin with that general idea.....and we could have all of the parts of the team and have certain questions for each team member...so we would have special questiooons for beaters so that they can knock somone out of the game for like 5 questions or whatever
I'm really sorry if I made some of you sad or cause anger. If this is the case I would like to be pardoned. But on other side I though of saying loundly what bothered me for some 10 days, because as I said I see less and less enthusiasm, or I'm not seeing well.
Rog: I never said to canceled it, what I meant was give it a break, like lets declare 2 weeks of a break what would bring back the interest of the members about IHCT. This is all what I meant
But I'm glad to see (read) that there are people over here who want this to last, congrats mates, needless to say that I'm on ur side

We could do debates...let's say Gryffindor vs. Slytherin and Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff. Gryf and Slyth have opposing sides on one issue and Rav and Huf have opposing sides on another. We all have two weeks to search through the books for proof of our position and the two houses w/ a dif. issue decide who did a better job (w/ writing, presentation, research, etc.) So Rav and Huf would judge btwn Gryf and Slyth, while Gryf and Slyth would judge the work of Rav and Huf. The only hard part would be finding two issues w/ opposing sides equally represented in the books
Ex. One issue could be why Dumbledore didn't kill Voldemort at the end of OotP--I know a lot of us have been talking about this in another thread--w/ the opposing sides of 1. He didn't want to miss and hit Harry 2. He knows something and then the members of the house get together, read and re-read that part of OotP and write a debate w/ facts supporting their argument. Both arguments would get posted and the other two houses could award points for who made their case seem more plausible--but this category should not weigh heavily--, which house presented their facts in a clear concise manner, blah blah blah.
We could find new debates and switch the teams winners of each face off in the next debate and the non-winners do the same. We could have double elimination and the winner gets the House Cup! We could make a badge for their sig like Rogue did w/ Witch of the Week.
I think this would be a good challenge to get all of the members included. Everyone can read the chapters that apply and list the facts and then you can talk about them among your house. The new judging system would also be in effect so everyone would be included in all processes...

@ flamewielder, a couple days ago, i used the updated cognitive list of members, and i PMed every single inactive person from every single house. i have gotten many PMs from members saying they're sorry and will be more active, but other than that i dont know what more is there to do. many names of people i PMed werent even in the KMC database anymore ❌
