wow, that sounds like a good idea. It's really creative. I like how the character would have to be important to the plot.For example, what if Harry wasn't James and Lily's only child? What if the there was another child? That would mean that Harry has a brother or sister out there. Where are they? Why doesn't anyone know of them? Why was he sent away?
yeah ! the challenge (for example, your idea rogue) is to make the caracter (the brother/sister of harry ) and discribe how is it, what his purpose in the story, and all that kind of thing...
The character has to change the plot some how, or has had to help make the plot what it is now. The challenge still needs to be polished up (like how long it needs to be) but everybody can start thinking about there character now so it saves time

So the challenge is to make up a new character fitting somehow into the story and adding new aspects, like Rogue already mentioned in his example of a sister or brother of Harry.
It's *not* important at what time the character lived or whose 'side' he was on (it can as well be a secret spy for Voldemort etc).

There should a short description with the most important facts (ie name, age at a specific time of the story, if they still attend to Hogwarts etcetc) plus a text about the character's role in the story - maybe their existence explains some of the riddles still left open in the books?
The deadline will most probably be some time in December, one of the prefects will post the rest of the info as soon as possible 🙂

This is the challenge
Each house would have to create a new character for the book. We would need to know what the person looks and acts like, and how they would fit into the story line. A name and maybe which house the were/are in also. . maybe

Name: Lily Evens
Eyes: Green
Hair: Red
House: Gryffindor
Personality: Lily is very strong on her morals. If she thinks something is wrong she will step in as soon as possible to try to fight it. ect ect ect this should be about . . . 4 sentances at least I think so we could get a good grip on the character
Story: Then the story part is where people can go crazy. . make up a new part of the Harry Potter story with the character in it.. or they could just say how the character would fit into the story and what importence they have to the plot

It could happen in any time period, as long as they do something to help move the plot of the story. . .like if we made a new person during harry's time she/he could know where voldermort was hiding or something. . and for the MWPP's time. . . the person could've helped james and lily get together maybe

* description of the character (ie is it creative? are there many details? etc) : 10 pts
* originality of the character's role (ie isn't it too similar to somebody else's personality or role? would the char be significant for the wizard world?) : 15 pts
* accordance (ie is the author sticking to the facts? could this character possibly exist or is it rather absurd and contradicting the basic storyline of the books? does the char add something interesting to the main story?) : 10 pts
* mechanics (ie not too many typos, correct grammar, readable text etc) : 5 pts
* overall impression (selfexplaining ^^) : 10 pts
