judging by the lack of responses to my agruement, i'm going to assume this issue has been dropped.
So back to Casey, i know i said this earlier, but i talked to her at 3:30am her time, which was like 6:30 pm my time and she seems to be doing better. She said her chest is all bruised up and broken, but she's in good spirits. Oh and if she ever reads this "Casey your voice sounds terrible...get some damn rest woman!"

Ok, I have stayed out of this thread for some considerable time but now the situation is reaching the point where I feel I must comment- and as both a mod who has seen all manner of self-indulgent tricksd and exceptions over time on these boards, AND as a friend of Casey's who has talked to her on the phone, I want to make it clear at this point that I am not speaking in any form of offiical capacity and I am only doing this, in the capacity of a veteran poster, as a call to common sense.
Please, please, please stop this. I think everyone carrying on the vigorous side of this debate should stop and question themselves as to why they are doing so. No good is being achieved here; only bad.
Only two situations are possible. Either Casey is very ill in hospital or a most despicable deception is being perpetuated upon good-intentioned people. EITHER way around, the situation is very distressing indeed, and whilst things may seem remote on a message board, this situation involves real emotions from real people who are indeed finding their real lives badly affected by it.
Now please- what purpose is this argument serving? It has been made clear that some people are sceptical. Some are not. That is about as far as this debate can ever go. It has to be recognised that the mods have a responsiblity to investigate this in a disinterested fashion. It also has to be recognised that, deception or no deception, some people are being very hurt by all this, because the situation is so harsh either way around.
No-one is being helped by this argument. No-one will convince anyone else. All that will happen is that the Mods will feel more and more aggrieved for getting so much abuse for trying to do their jobs, and Casey's friends will feel more and more pissed off at the apparently heartless attitude of the sceptics.
Please people- we have to accept that this is a very unpleasant situation- but it can only be made worse by this horrible bickering in this thread. One way or another, this will either be resolved or it will fade away- but as a personal request form me, could we please cease with this arguing? I can only see it getting worse, to the point where there are bans, people leaving, and long-term recriminations that really could have been avoidable.
I wish that life was always as simple as we would wish it to be- but it is not. If people could just calm down I would appreicate it greatly- and perhaps the rest of this can be carried out in a peaceful manner- true or otherwise, the situation can be updated, and some people just have to accept that others are sceptical and not 100% without cause.

Yes, some people here are mods, you are not one of them.

I know socking is prohibited, but hang on a minute. If you are going to get all up on rules etc, then how about this?
Abortion - Taboo, but in some cases, is acceptable, such as rape.......
Murder - can become manslughter, when in self defence etc.....
Stealing - Yerssot, meet Robin Hood, Robin, meet Yerssot......
Those are examples of everyday crimes, where the punishments are lightened or even lifted due to circumstances. Think about it, she truly felt she had her reasons, so can we not be a little gentler in dealing out punishment?
And finally, I looked in the mirror and I'm not bothered by what I see. Yerssot, that last comment was low and underhanded, even by your standards.

Ok, first of all, THAT is why I love Ush.
Second, my last post was made before I had read Ush's, so apologies, I didn't simply ignore his plea.
Third and finally, I have an apology to make to Storm. The post I made to her about the FBI was out of line, I wound myself up and took it out on her. She is the fairest moderator I know. She makes herself heard quietly and calmly, as does Ush, and does her job well.
