The Suffering, HELP!

i'm having a bit of trouble and i was hoping someone out here could help me. i'm somewhere near halfway through the game and am locked in a cafeteria with fires raging around the room. the ghost doctor is testing my intelligence. there is a sprinkler system but when i turn the wheel, only half of the room is extinguished because the other half is broken. WHAT DO I DO?

you have to pull one of the soda michines over the drain in the floor then turn the crank the room will flood and the fire will go out
