I dont know. Maybe slashing, hitting from behind, butt ending, he always complains.. never fights after he goes after the guy. Thats why he is a goon

He is also not a scrapper. Kris Draper, Craig Conroy, Gilmour...those are scrappers.

draper? he aint a scrapper...gilmour yes, conroy yes but not draper....roenick doesnt take cheap shots and i dont know were u get he's not a fighter...this season he got into some fights he got into a big fight with tucker during the regular season he lost but he made sure he did his own dirty work.....and not this year but last year when tucker laid his ass on that questionable hit in the playoffs he didnt take any cheap shots on tucker or hit him from behind at all he did was tell tucker were gonna finnish this another time and thats why they got into that fight this season

Draper is a scrapper.

He might fight..but when he has his "questionable" hits, he goes away from the guy he hits.

draper is not a scrapper....when claude lemiux did that cheap ass chicken sh*t hit on him in 96 the next year draper had MCcarty do his dirty worker thats not a scrapper.....he goes away from "questionable" hits coz he still wants to get in the play and score or get back on defense..i've seen tucker do that too......hell i've even seen gilmour do that...scappers who can score goals get alot of there goals that way coz when they take player out and can lead to rush and instead of waiting to see if the guy wants to drop his gloves they try and get in on they rush

Draper was alot scrappier than he is now--someplayers DO evlove. When I was 13 years old, I saw my first NJ Devils game--it was Brendan Shanahan's rookie year, and I fell in love right away. Being that young, and a girl to boot, I was more enamored of the fighting and offense--and Shanahan had about 10 times as many penalty minutes as he had points. Over the years, it has gone the other way, and with age Shanahan realizes he can make a bigger contribution if he's actively on the ice and not in the penalty box. And with my own age, I've also learned the value of great goaltending and defense, though it's not as flashy--fighting's nice, but it's only a very small part of the game. It has gotten brutal out there, and I wonder why the players are injuring each other so much more--the injuiries are intentional, too, not the sort of incidental contacts that would knock a guy out and give hima concussion, but a ton more of cheap shots--these guys should realize that they're being reorded, and they're not gonna get away with that sh*t--and Bettman, the NHL comissioner really needs to take a stand against it. By God, it IS entertaining, though isn't it?

hockey can be fun to watch but it can also be boring to watch if you watch...i love watching the leafs play coz players like tucker and roberts bring it on every shift but i dont like watching teams like the devils play coz there so defensevly minded....i think hockey needs to get rid of the two line pass and have the refs call no touch iceing it would speed the game up and there would be less injuries

For myself, a scrapper is a guy who goes in the corners and bangs for the puck. It could be also called a grinder. Heavy forecheckers, who might have some offensive talent..but not heavy offensive talant. Draper is a guy who does that. A goon is a guy who have "questionable" hits, not a scrapper.

well if a goon is someone who has "questionble" hits thatn i guess you would consider tucker, gilmour, and roberts all goons coz they all have had there "questionable" hits

Yah i guess you could. The only difference between those guys and somebody like Peter Worrell, Oliwa or Laraque is that Tucker, Gilmour and Roberts and Roenick have talent and the others are there for fighting reasons.

well Tampa Bay Won...

i still say Calgary deserved it more.

Iginla really deserved to win the cup..

but so did Khabulin.

yeah Calgary definitely deserved it, but they were awful in game 7! And I think they should've pulled Kiprusoff with like a minute left in the game

the shot in game six was in they should have won

oops.. wrong thread..

not sure whats going on .. but i was in other thread .. so sorry about the mix up

Yeah, calgary should have won they deserved it. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Tampa didn't deserve it, I just thought Calgary should have won it. Emmpoi your right they played like crap in game 7. Well, at least the Cranbrook Connections still going!

No, no...
Tampa Bay was the better team, no question.
The Flames got where they did by playing like a team of thugs.
They were hanging all over other players, cheap shots galore.
And Niemenin the poster child for cheap shots and thuggery- he intentionally ran into goalies, he's a thug!!!!

Nikolai Khabibulin Rules!!! Sorry about going off topic.

Calgary should have won it plain and simple calgary deserved it more they have faced canuks, red wings, sharks, those were the top 3 teams they knocked off and tampa took out ny islanders, montreal, philadelphia (their only challenge). in game 6 that over time goal should have been allowed.

khabibulin was great in the playoffs also mikka kipersof (sp) was also good.
