I know why, Superman does this to get attention. Also i believe that the red underwear distracts his enemies while he pummels them

Good point SnakeEyes. Why don't people care about Batman's underwear. I'm not sure if they even gave Batman an underwear in the movies. Anybody who has one of the movies let me know.
