i totally agree....in fact i heard that Johnny, Gore, the writers, Geoffry and Keira all had different perspectives on how the movie should end!! I heard their was much debate over it and i did hear that Keira did want Jack and Liz to stay 2gether, but in the end the "Moral" thing to do was keep Willabeth! WHATEVER!!! That was the worst mistake ever!
But I heard Keria said she personally would chose Will because it was a safer bet he wouldn't run off with other girls.
But the theory behind the ending is to teach little girls that:
1. Chose the responsible man
2. Stand by him even if you can only see him on occasion
3. Looks matter
And the lesson for little dreadlocked pirate boys is: Don't kiss married women.

I AGREE! It didn't need to be a fairytale ending! fairytale endings are sooo overused!
