Anyway, I did a "holds comment" search and idd, when you used it, you can hardly classify it as sarcastic. Most of the time, you use an adjective together with it that makes it sarcastic... or not. So, do we have an agreement?

Het is mij gewoon opgevallen dat "holds comment" niks te beteken heeft terwijl "holds further comment", "barely holds comment" en vanzelfsprekend "holds sarcastic comment", enz. vaak een negatieve bijklank hebben.

Nee, ik wil alleen maar duidelijk stellen dat je later niet kan zeggen dat "holds comment" wel toegelaten was, terwijl het zoals in die voorbeeldlink wel sarcastich bedoeld was. Maar die link was het enige voorbeeld dat ik kon vinden waarin "holds comment" sarcastisch bedoeld was. Dat is wat ik bedoel met het expres gebruiken in situaties die ergernis kunnen oproepen.
