Your Favorite Location from a book you have Read?

Middle Earth (Tolkiens LOTR)
Trantor (Asimov's Foundation)

...and damn Alex Garland!! the beach he described!! 馃槃

the brighton seaside, as depicted by graham greene.

The Mines of Moria... I would love to take my Scout Troop camping there.... The Omphalos in Green Idaho, from Greg Bear's "Slant..." Lyra's Oxford (His Dark Materials)... the place Pym visits in "Narrative of A Gordon Pym" by Edgar Allen Poe.... Ankh Morpork.... my own Land of Nentimina.... the seaside town in Tanith Lee's "When the Lights go out..." the list goes on and on....

Oh, and Earthsea....

Pern where Anne Macaffery's dragons live.
Also Isis from Monica Hughes' books always sounded good to me when I was little.

feudal japan...both in 'Musashi' and 'Taiko'

Harun Kall From Starwars: Shatter point

I liked Rivendell of course from LOTR and I also liked the Old World in the Sword of Truth Books and the boundaries were cool.

discworld. i love its people, their customs, their gods.

Discworld all the way.

I mean... can there be something MORE disturbing than Ankh-Morpork?

馃槃 I also love the Discworld... by my favourite locations are still Gondolin, N煤menor and Mordor (all from the Lord of the Rings) 馃檪

Chelestra and The Labyrinth from The Deathgate

Lothlorien from Lord of the Rings

Salusa Secundus from Dune: The machine crusade

The White Shore and Tuna from Tolkeins Silmarillion

The Shire, Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade!!!

^DEFINITELY

Coventry Island.... god, I'd kill to live there.
