I dont think hellboy is released in the UK yet.
The only comics available in the UK outside of speciallised comic book stores/independent markets are the UK collectors editions, which are kind of a compillation of stories from various comics released at the same time as each other. However, the newest edition has only just started with new x-men: e is for extinction, so they are about 4 or 5 years behind.
I liked the superman analogy on Kill bill2 (where he explains how superman is unique in that superman is his true identity, and clark kent is his alter ego). Superman is a classic iconic hero that paved the way for all other superheros.
However, superman comics are not very well written, and therefore, my vote for favourate character has to go to Hal.
I am not really into DC, but I have started to collect the new green Lantern series from when Hal went mad.
