Even then, there's some room for doubt. Let this be clear--if innocence and guilt was out of the question, I'd be all for it; if they're guilty, then deal with them. However, the justice system is not perfect, and putting an innocent person to death is, at the very least, disheartening.

U'll always have crime. Punishment can serve as a deterrent and it deals lawbreakers. If punishments were more severe, it might deter lesser crimes, but you'll always have murder, rapre, kiddnapping.
