I dont get it

I like being the kind of person i am and when people make fun of me for it i get kinda pissed off but i dont want to change just to get people to like me i know i sound like a complaining wrench but its really starting to bother me and alot of the time it basaiclly breaks my heart my friends are ditching me to become "cool" i just want to know why people dont like me for me
