What Famous Movies Do You Think Had Terrible Acting?

I like Star Wars, but the acting sucked.

Well aside from pretty much every horror movie...Terminator 2. Each time I watch it I realize how god awful the acting and script is.

star wars sucked big time... george needs to redeem himself big time for EP III.

The acting in Harry Potter the Philosopher's Stone sucked hard. You could tell they memorised their lines.

Star Wars: Episodes 1 + 2. The OT acting was great.

The Star Wars films, as high-tech, popular and well-loved as they are, have become notorious for bad acting and dialogue. Harrison Ford and Alec Guiness may be good actors, but the series has suffered due to painfully bad performances by the likes of Jake Lloyd, Mark Hammil, Ahmed Best, Hayden Christiansen and even Natalie Portman (whom I consider very talented, but even she couldn't make a silk purse out of that sow's ear).

A prediction: Hayden Christiansen will likely go the way of Mark Hammil, i.e. since he can't act his way out of a paper bag, he will be reduced to vacuous pretty-boy roles until he gets old and saggy, then he'll hit the convention and voice-over circuit.

Trivia: Mark Hammil was doing voice overs way before "Star Wars".

As for Hayden, blame George Lucas and his handywork. Alot of otherwise great actors have been made to look like shit with his elementary scripts.

I bet Joe Pantoliano and Laurence Fishburne's backs were sore, because they carried that movie, as much as I love it, and hate to admit it.

i stand saying that if gigli had people that could ACT that would have been a good movie..... i saw it and if JLO and ben didnt suck ass that would have been good.. not LOTR but good...
