SVCD or VCD players

i just purchased an SVCD and how the hell do you play it on your computer? do you need a VCD player of some sort? I have a DVD readable drive.

Can someone please help.

A SVCD can be played on many standalone DVD Players and of course on all computers with a DVD-ROM or CD-ROM drive with the help of a software based decoder / player.

and you can get a "software based decoder / player" of the internet right? presumably.

yes you can just use google fo a search

personaly I like SVCD better than normal VCD's

well svcd is super video cd.. they are higher quality, good movie rips will be in svcd format, most new dvd players play them, any computer can pretty much play them might just need a few downloads... im curious about the purchased part though

My DVD player plays SVCDs, I can make SVCDs, I like SVCDs 😄

is that the same as DVD audio CDs?

nope

my dvd recorder plays about everything
