Willow’s Song, the song britt ekland sings through the wall - (even tho its not eklands body or voice) - was a high point for me and I cant imagine the film without it. Plaintive - passionate and filled with real dread as shes using it to lure him to his fate. "come to me" Brrrrrrrr.
Y'know- one of the great things about being old; i saw this film when it was still in its forgotten pre-rental years, with NO hype - I had no idea what it was, just some old movie on TV. One of the real greats.
I think younger viewers will have difficulty with the pace of this amazing film. Also placing it in the era in which it was made, this movie was blasphemous with its wanton sex and desecration of cemeteries.
This film unfolds slowly and methodically with an artistry that's lost to today's film culture.
Another film that slowly blows your head off is "The Tenant" by Polanski. Awesome
