i just realized it would be good if she was in a cameo scene in X3 singing in a disco (where possibly some X-men could be in) and every kind of light effects around her...oh, but neither BRITNEY nor JESSICA SIMPSON playing da role...some people said one of them were anxious to a role in the film, only now that i know Dazzler and know she's a singer i understand why...
lol, nah, Dazzler was never a porn star. She was a singer/actress. I think she'd be great as a cameo or larger role. Although if it were for a larger role it would have fit better in the first two films than in the next one since it supposedly involved mutants and humans fighting evolution (or so I've heard). But if the Hellfire Club and Phoenix has something to do with the next film, then I wouldn't be surprised if Shadowcat got a larger role and Dazzler was included. Since the Hellfire Club was trying to recruit Kitty and Dazz while they went after Phoenix.
Dazzler was a singer (she turned down membership into the X-Men and Avengers) with a pretty good career that was about to explode. Then she's publicly outed to the public as a mutant and makes a film to shed positive light on mutants as a whole by showing how they use their powers for "good". When she destroys the "only" copy of the film to keep from being a "slave" of a shrewd businessman (later on a "secret" copy is found and released after her stint with the X-Men), her career is ruined and she's blacklisted in Hollywood.
I always thought she would be the perfect example of how the general public felt towards mutants for the movies. I mean, she was well liked BEFORE the revelation of her mutancy, but when it went public her life and career were pracically in shambles. The public hated her and she had to go into hiding before joining the X-Men (which the team was basically "hiding" themselves during this period).
I've always thought she was a really cool character, but most X-Men fans hold her to her "disco"-rooted creation and never let it die. Actually, she had little to do with disco when she made it to comics, besides her disco-ball necklace, she sang mostly rock songs. If she were put in comics more today (which would be great), I see her as more of a pop-princess or a Kylie-Minough type artist. In Ultimate X-Men, she's a punk rocker though (and a bad*** one at that).
I've heard that Gwen Stefani was interested in the role and I think she'd be a good choice. Britney looks the part, but I've never seen Crossroads, so I can't comment on her acting. Jessica Simpson looks exactly like the early Dazzler...long blonde hair, big boobs, and very sexy 😄. The only difference is that Jess has brown eyes and Dazz has blue...but we all know that doesn't matter 😉 Simpson is strongly rumored to be up for the "Dazzler" solo film, which Artisan has the rights to produce.
Whoever gets cast, I hope Dazzler at least makes a cameo appearance.
