Green Lantern

does anyone else think that as the years go on, Green Lantern gets less creative with his ring? With the exception of Kyle Rayner. but Guy Gardner(actually he might not even be around anymore, i dont know), John whats-his-face(green lantern Mosaic), and others are just shooting laser beams and not doing anything creative. i remember when giant anvils and flyswaters were standard, what happened?

noone has an opinion about this? im surprised.

Well the anvils and flyswatters are too cheesy for present times and Kyle Rayner is the answer for the new generation.

Also, it doesn't seem that anvils and other acme products would be created by the likes of John Stewart,Hal Jordan etc because they're more mature unlike Kyle.

Maturity is overrated. well, sometimes. if immaturity brings more creativeness, then i want to see it.

I agree that maturity is overrated. Let me explain in another way..........

Sort of like when Batman is solo (Batman TAS) He makes a few one liner jokes but when Robin is there, he's a real grim jerk with no jokes(I say this with Batman being my #1 hero)

With Kyle around the other Lanterns have to seem older and wiser so I can see why they don't use those corny objects anymore. That and it makes Kyle's creativity as an artist stand out more.

I like how they make Sinestro use lethal mideval ring weapons.

I'm actually working on a John Stewart animated JL costume as we speak. I haven't been on the forum in a while.

I liked when after Kyles girlfriend was killed, he made an electric chair from his ring and used it to punish the killer.

i never liked Sinestro. though i did like Guy Gardner with the yellow ring.

Isn't kyles ring immune to the yellow light vunrability thing?

If Kyles ring was the 'last' GL ring, was that the same 'last' GL ring that superman prime aquired.?

Nice, that's a cool idea. I also liked when he was trying to get in touch with the league, he made a phone booth with a satelite on top (looked cooler than it sounds). Kyle is a very creative lantern

Sinestro was cool because he's a heartless Lantern assassin. Not saying I like him killing them but his attitude is bad ass

Didn't Hal kill Sinestro?

i have no problem with Sinestro killing anyone. he can kill his mother for all i care. thats not the reason i dont like him. hes just one of those characters i find annoying. like Captain America and Batroc the Leaper.
