Blofeld?

Started by Reborn Again2 pages

Actually yes, but like Bond 3 actors protrayed Bond before Blofeld's death, not including David Niven in the parody Casino Royal in 1969.

that's ok, we don't Casino Royal at all, not canon 😛

still, it all feels so weird for me 🙁

However, there's also a little theory going around that James Bond is actually a code name and not 007's real name. And the reason why different people have protrayed him within the time space of 40 years or more is because the previous agents were killed. They take on the persona of James Bond.

I little off the subject, I know. But an interesting theory. Though it has never been said.

but in Goldeneye, M says that Bond is a relic from the Cold War and it was Moore who finished the movies with the Cold War, not Pierce...

Yes, but she could have meant the whole James Bond persona and not the individual.

she says "you" not "bond" or "007"

I did say it was only a theory.

I'm trying to find stuff that says its wrong 🙂

Let me know what you find.

up to now... only that 😖

Til Goldeneye, the theory stood. And yet, when I think back: Goldeneye took place in 1995, and Bond infiltrated the Russian base in the beginning scene 7 years before (1988)...the USSR collasped 1991...the KGB was disbanned and became the New Russian Intelligence... so that would make Dalton's protray of Bond moot in Licence to Kill in 1989...

The theory does get confusing when you think about all the details.

but I'm not sure if you really have to base yourself on when the movie came out in the first place 😖

though DaD was after 2000 (cause Frost was in the olympics)

True. Okay, let's get back on topic ie Blofeld.

Does anyone remember when Fleming makes mention of how Blofeld created SPECTRE? There has to be some mention in the novels, I haven't read everything. Someone might have this 411? It's just something I would like to know.

For Ernst Stavro Blofeld fans

Since we're talking about the many different faces of Blofeld and the different actors who have protrayed him over the years, here they are and in sequence of appearance. Despite Blofeld making appearances in movies before his first face appearance, these are the only actors who have protrayed the SPECTRE leader visually. IMO I believe Donald Pleasence made the best and more believable Blofeld. Blofeld is supposed to be evil and heartless, the scarred Blofeld look does the character justice. The Terry Savalas version is much too joyous to Bond, and not as believable.

#1 Donald Pleasence (1967) You Only Live Twice
#2 Telly Savalas (1969) On Her Majesy's Secret Service
#3 Charles Gray (1971) Diamonds Are Forever
#4 Unknown Stuntman (1981) For Your Eyes Only
#5 Max Von Sydow (1983) Never Say Never Again (Despite not an official Bond.)

And, oh yes...an alternative universe Blofeld. Just thought I'd throw that in as a joke. 😱

(thought some more about that theory:
Lazenby marries, and in FYEO, Moore looks at her grave, and it says Terresa Bond, so, it's the bond name she has and someone who has nothing to do with it looks her up)

Spectre:
First book mentioning in Thunderball and were active for 3 years already at that point.
that's about it I think 😖

never say never again was pathetic, connery looked passed his sell-bye-date

I was watching moonraker today and noticed how roger moore has quite cheeky and decent punch lines, he was best i would

Discos - "he had to fly"

yeah, and the fake M ("Kill all the free radicals!!"😉 and the weird Q (alergic little ****)...

hehe, Mooonraker, good line with Doctor Goodhead there 😄
it's also the only movie I can think off that uses backflashse
