Yeah man, Jimi Hendrix. What a drop-out, down and out loser, never found anything to do, never had a purpose in life.

That'll be the drugs. Then there's The Beatles, drugs ruined them, amounted to nothing.

Then there's all those other great musicians who do drugs, contribute amazingly to art under the influence of drugs, and change musical culture as we know it, doing a lot more for the world than most sober people.

Total, utter, losers.

I know some people weed seems to actually do them some good. Like people with ADHD or just bad concentration it seems to help them concentrate. And if it helps then why not.

Cigarettes sucks.

Go for marijuana. 🥷

I agree. Really, I do. Apart from the fact that some cigarettes have marijuana in them.

But Cannabis cigarettes are better than marijuana.

And if you're poor, go for glue.

It works, believe me. 313

You're saying drugs made them famous? that without the inclusion of drugs they would've never achieved what they did?

I'm saying drugs have played a huge part in a lot of the greatest art that has given meaning, enjoyment and fulfillment to our lives, and can provide ways and means to other perspectives not reachable without them. To say they are entirely negative and anyone who uses them is a loser is infinitely more idiotic than taking any drug.

I'm not promoting drugs, I'm just not denying what they've done.

There's good and bad.

Bleck, weed tastes so gross, I have no idea how you put up with it.

That's assuming Hendrix (or other) wouldn't of have been just as great without the drugs though... granted, he (his music) would have been a different; who's to say it would have been worse, as fact?

Who's saying that? Take Hendrix entirely out of the equation if you want.

It doesn't alter the factual truth of what I'm saying. Drugs have done, or played a part in creating, positive things. I'm not saying he'd have been worse, better or the same, I'm saying many people attribute their best work to being high, it's been the probably cause of some amazing music.

If Layne Staley never found heroin, we likely would never have had Dirt by Alice in Chains, that's a fact.

I edited "or other" as you were posting. I was using Jimi as an example.

It seemed like you were saying, "they (their work) wouldn't be great without drug use", as an absolute, wasn't the case though.

Yes, and I understand that, but I am reffering to the 'little' people. Local drug nuts who's lives could've actually been something but were destroyed because an addiction blindsided them. I completely agree with you on drugs changing music forever, but just like you stated, the bad. The bad side that affects the common ground. These people's lives will never be better off if they take up drugs, they're missed by family and never seen by friends ever again because a of their life choices. Most pre-teens who use drugs are most likely those that are confused, not sure what to do or where to go. If they had alittle more direction, I doubt they would resort to drugs.

In all fairness, that's just personal experience, but ultimately baseless nonsense.

You clearly subscribe to the idea that drugs destroy people, that doesn't actually have to be the case, and isn't for many people.

You cannot say people will not be better off if they take drugs. Many regular people attribute drug experiences to their acquiring of wonderous new perspectives.

What do you think of drinking alcohol?

There're other ways people can contribute to the "loser" community. 😛
