does anyone know or have any ideas on what i should do??
Get some wire, make a "scaffold" type thing in the shape of a fish, cover it with paper mache, paint it.
1 - Cut out 3 copies of nice fish picture of a fish, preferably double sided picture if you can manage that.
2 - Cut the tail off 2 of the copies - These are your outside pictures.
3 - Cut 4 short strips of paper folded in half, and then 2 longer strips folded 4 times in a concertina.
4 - Take the longer strips of paper and stick one on each side of the picture with the tail.
5 - Then stick the other ends of the longer strips to the same place on the fish pics with out tails. (you should have now three fish pictures all parallel with strips of paper sticking them together)
6 - Now using the short strips stick the noses and back ends of the fish pictures together leaving the tail of the middle picture to extend out the back.
You should now have a kinda artistic 3D fish (I would have posted pictures to explain what I ment but I'm at work so... erm... tough!).
1. You build the armature or skeleton for your fish out of chicken wire. Cut fins and tail out of poster board and tape them into place.
Due to the flexibility of the chicken wire, it' s very easy to bend it into this shape. (*)
2. Cover the armature smoothly with layers of paper mache and let it dry.
3. Color the fish with paint. It would be easier to give it a first layer with white paint on which you can draw a pattern in pencil. Lacquer the fish if you want to make it shiny.
And tada 😄 :
(I loved to do this in highschool and I still love it now 😍 )
And this is chicken wire.
