The Dark Tavern

Vash laughed softly. He wondered if he should tell Tela what he saw in the spirit world.

"It's sweet seeing young lovers together." Merlin said. "Now, as for my payment. . ." his voice drifted off as he eyes Tela's sword.

"I could give you something else... Four gold medals? Each about fivty years old mint condition?"

"I have no interest in medals. What would I do with them?" Merlin asked. "But a sword, that I could use."

"NO!" Tela said taking steps back from the wizard.

"Merlin, look, anything but not the sword.."

Merlin sighed. "the sword, or one of you will not leave here."

Vash sighed... Great... MOre trouble because of him. If its his fault, he should not leave and stay.

"But wait, isnt it my life you saved, so it shouldnt be her freedom to take but mines?"

"I saved you for her." Merlin said. "And you would be of no use."

"And I would?"

"Of course. I have many uses for you but none related to what your dirty mind is coming up with."

"Wait there are six of us and only one of you... You do understand, your in no posistion..."

"They are six of you who can only fight physically, but none of you control magic, except young Tela here, who has no practice in it. You do understand that I could teleport five of you to the other end of the earth and you would not know where you were at or how to get back."

"What do you want with Tela anyway?"

Tela slightly hid behind Vash.

"Well, I am to old to take care of this place, and I could use a cook."

"You. . .want me. . .to cook and clean for you."

"Smart woman."

"Ok... WHat about this... We are heading to Egypt to get the seven legendary swords of Egypt. They are the best swords in the universe... Each member of our "Group" Will get a sword. Ill give my sword to you as soon as I get it..."

"It will not do, I want the gem." Merlin said sitting down.

Tela gasped as she felt her sheath being tugged on by an invisible force. "I said no!"

"Well you wont get it! You can just take back my life or something!"
