The Dark Tavern

Tela blushed as she walked up to her brother and the exmarchwarden. "What's going on?" she asks softly.

The guy Turi had been arguing with turns and it would hit Vash immediately that this guy would have been Tela's father-in-law if it weren't for him, but Tela held no grudges.

Theomer watched the scene unfold from his hiding place, but decided it'd be better to stay out if it. "You better get home, mate," he whispered to the little elf on his knee. He lifted the tiny fellow up and set him down above the bank.

Vash cursed under his breath. He lowered his hat to hide his face.

"Tela." he said taking her hand and kissing the back of it. "I was not sure you'd come back."

"Of course I came back. I had to see you." she kissed his cheek. He was like a second father to her even before she and Haldir were engaged.

Vash began thinking of another name again. He was sure th at the father of Haldier knew the name of the person who killed his son like the back of his hand... Terry didn't sound too shabby.

Tela smiled. "SO what are you two arguing over?"

"This Vash character. I went over my reports to find out that the murderer of my son had been leased into your brother's hands."

Vash grunted. "Yes... It was me" he said. So, if he gets jumped, so if he gets stabbed. At least his guilt would be clear.

((Wait... Vash killed Haldir? But Haldir was killed by an orc in TTT... 😛))

Tela sighed. "Listen, ada, he's different." she said. "He's changed just like I have."

"But you didn't succeed when you were sent to assassinate Haldir. He did."

"But what if I had?"

"You would probably be dead."

"And still the lonely person under that tyrants rule."

Vash stood silently listening... SO Tela was sent to assasinate him?

"You get to do our executions, personally."

I'm not surprised though, I've always thought it was a little dumb how this supposedly amazing fighter got hacked down by a couple of mind-numbingly stupid bags of rotting meat 😛))
