Cheeky is tongue-in-cheek humour like innuendo for example or it can also mean young people who act out of place or disrespectfully to older people and possibly rude but not in a really bad way, just enough for the older person to either be offended and say 'what cheek!' and clip you round the ear 😛 or tolerate it in a benevolent way.

It does mean that too but it's a pretty new meaning - only relatively recently it means being or saying 'natughty' things with innuendo 😮
I think you'll find it's not widely used in the US 🙂
