YOUR RIGHT ABOUT INSULTING LOTR, LOTR DOESENT DESERVE THE PESECUTION OF BIENG PUT IN THE GENRE OF PIRATES OR SPIDERMAN, BUT PULP FICTION IS NOT THAT GORY AND ITS ONE OF THE GREATEST MOVIES OF ALLLLLL TIME

ill try not to in the future

None of Quentin Tarrentino's movies will be looked upon as the greatest of all time, because none of his movies, in theory, are his own.

LOTR as a collective is the great movie epic of all time, singularly, none of them stand out.

whatt the shit do you mean by that>? hes incredibally origanal

Quentin just copies the old directors he "learned from".

jesus christ, you couldent be more wrong about qtt

He said so himself. And I'm not a big fan of QT and I cant remember what is influences are but my teachers (I'm studying cinema by the way) say so too. They gave examples but I dont remember.

Right, I have this really bad habit of shooting my mouth off when it comes to HACK directors like "Q.T.".

Where do I begin..

Pulp Fiction - Adapted from the Pulp crime television shows and comic books of the mid 40's + 50's.

Reservoir Dogs - Entire story lifted from Japanese action film w/ Chow Yung Fat called "City on Fire". See IMDB.com for details.

From Dusk Til Dawn - Vampire movies done 100 times over.

True Romance - Rip off of TWO movies. "Bad Lands" and "Murder in the Heartland". One of Fairuza Balk's 1st movies.

Natural Born Killers - Same as above

Jackie Brown - Ripped straight out a book entitled "Rum Punch" by Elmore Leonard.

Kill Bill - Lift from a movie called "The Bride Wore Black", along with some out of place "homage" to martial arts films.

Just because he adds his special blend of excessant gore and trash dialogue doesn't make these his fims.

He's an unoriginal hack. Perhaps you should read up on him before you step up to the plate for him?

The Matrix
LOTR
Usual Suspects
Road to Perdition
Princess Mononoke

and despite your views on QT, I still say that Pulp Fiction is one of the sigle greatest achievements in Cinema.
