Comic Collector needs some help...

So I've been out of the comic scene for quite some while now and due to this forum, i've decided to go out and buff up my collection.

I was wondering if any of you guys could reccomend a couple of comics for me. You know....personal favorites.

I've been mostly Marvel with a little DC for my whole life. I'd kinda prefer to stay there unless you have strong recommendations. Characters story lines that really have interested me have been:

*Venom
*Silver Surfer
*Thanos
*Onslaught

I'd like to get a couple of comics where Hulk has some epic battles, or whenever he shows how phenominal his strength really is. Cosmic Beings interest me. Reall I just want to continue my exsisting collection and greatly expand it. Other groups and individuals I like would be like Fantastic Four, X-Men, Spidey, Hulk, Daredevil. I know that sounds weaksauce because they've all from the movies...but i had interest before they made them. Really ANY comics will do.

Thanks KMCers...much appreciated.

If your collecting back issues, I really enjoyed the Peter David, Dale Keown run on the Hulk. Some killer story lines and art. As for the present, I havent collected in a long time so i'm not qualified to point you in any direction.

yeah i'm collecting it all...new and old. I just want to have some really epic battles/fights and some wicked bad artwork.

i don't know a single issue of daredevil volume 2 I haven't liked.

k thank you much Jello!

also, read planet x if your a big x-men fan, two big characters die for good.

Kraven's Last Hunt

star wars infinities

not huge on Star Wars, but i suppose i could give them a shot. Anything worth reading in Superman's storyline? I pretty much quit after he got killed by Doomsday.

the new Superman storyarc(written by Brian Azzarello and drawn by Jim Lee) should be well worth collecting. it starts with Superman #204. i have the first issue and the art alone is reason to collect it. also, Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb did a great job on Batman: Hush. great story, great art.

thank you kindly. I also want to get a Supes Prime comic because i wanna see what all the hub-ub is about.
