That's rather complicated. I went through a 'motivation crisis', and at the end of it I decided I couldn't properly try to be admitted in the School I wanted (called Essec, one of the best two business schools in France), as I hadn't worked the maths at all. So I decided (predicted ?) I would partly fail the exam and I did not work the rest of the subjects. So I did rather good, I think, but not much more (mostly because of the maths). But I wasn't anxious at all. Now I'm happy to retry the second year (the curriculum is changing, so it will be pleasant) and I'm confident in my chances to get this school next year (I'll probably be admitted to other schools this year, but this is the one I'm longing for)

No, I'll theoretically redo the year I've just had...stay in my 'classe prépa' that is perfectly useless in the working world.
Well in History, we'll see completely different things about and the new theme in General knowledge/Philosophy is "justice" (For the exam I sit, the theme was "passion"- For example we had to write on "Are the passions in the human nature ?" "The useless passions"😉

No, b/c it's a high school-like thing, so only the maths will be the same (in English, German, History, and GK/Philosophy it will be a bit different). [And the great thing is it is sos well rated that I have an equivalence with the first 2 years of University (major Economy)]
Yes, as we're not 100% litterary people (there are classes for that), we have a single theme each year. That stands for a curriculum.
On the little pic below are all the kinds of post-high school studies. Circled in red what I am doing, and in blue my equivalence...
Because these themes are broad enough. You'll be surprised to see how much, on the same theme, 2 students from 2 different prépas have studied various authors and texts.

You've understood the main idea. And this 2 year thing give me an equivalence if I wanna stop to enter directly in third year of university (the thing circled in black is the equivalent degree I'll get in june / it is a university degree.

To sum up it's like a super-high school, with a restricted number of subjects and much much more work to do.
About philosophy, we do it on any topic during the last year of high school, and the literacy class (prépa) does it that way too. But as it only counts as 1/5 of the mark in the class that prepares to business schools, be have one imposed theme, with at each exam, one question (no choice) to be dealt with.

i'm at 6year medical universitat. nad in the end it gives me the diploma of the docotr, without the right of acutally treating ppl 😖 i have to do some extra exams for that, after some more practise 😖 so more or less...it lasts for like 10 years 😑
Well for the less good Business school, we had the choice between 2 questions : "Passion, free destiny" (which IMO makes absolutely no sense) and "the bad taste" (out of the theme).
That's the spirit of it: We must have work sufficiently the notion to be able to cope with any question.
If you take a look at the left orange bubble on the left of the pic : it says Doctors (practitioner, pharmacy, surgery...) 5 to 10 years. It goes the same way everywhere. That's a brave choice.

1) If you stick to examples, you won't manage to build a reflection. Well, first of all , bad taste doesn't exist in itself. It needs a fact or an action to call "of bad taste". Plus you need another person pronouncing the sentence. As it is a judgement, ie based on an opinion, it is essentially biased : it is founded on a set of tacit rules that are particular, because they can't be forced on someone (though law, for instance), they are unformal agreements within a social group. Bad taste is relative, not absolute... etc. etc.
2)Remove the question mark. : I don't know why, but some schools decided to propose a choice. But one thing is certain: the 6 best schools didn't.
