Help on Thesis Statement

alright im doin an essay on a novel, and my topic is about how this character is influenced by the people surrounding his everyday life.

here is my thesis statement

The decisions "our hero" makes are influenced by the people surrounding his everyday life.

can you guyz help me make it better 🙂

what book? it might help.

state somthing about how or why in the thesis, set up what you're discussing...
his decisions are influenced by x, y, z, etc.,
for example...dont give specifics, but some general ideas to be analyzed/explained in the body

Crime and Punishment. im doing intro paragraph at the moment. any ideas?

"Man is a product of his enviornment" is more than just a basic idea of socialism, it is the basis of how (insert characters name here) makes decisions, and reacts to others. Even in society today, we can all relate to the constant struggle against the expected conformity of an individual to their enviornment.

Do what I do; write the essay first, and then write the thesis statement. It's much easier to do things that way, at least in my estimation.
