I am 1.70 meter tall...what is that in feet and inches??

If you don't do decimals, thats just over 5'6"

2.54 cm= 1"
30cm = approx 1'
90cm = about a yard
8km = 5 miles as near as makes no difference....

But just in case you want to know how to do it for future reference:

1.70m = 170cm
170/2.54 = 66.9inches (2.54 being one inch)
66.9/12 = 5.57ft (divide by 12 because there are 12 inches in one foot)
5.57ft - 5ft6in like BGK said

and it's vice versa to convert feet and inches into metric units 🙂
