Normaly her sheilds would have deflected such a hit from a plasma weapon. But due to the previous fight, and her shoulder injury, she was already set up for failure. It was more than amazing that any human could withstand such injuries. The plasma fire was enough to knock any grown man off his feet, but she just took the hit like nothing. She drifted in and out of conciousness. She was angered, not at the covenant but at herself. She shouldn't have let herself get this bad.
An hour later Hampton was surprised when he saw Raeyvnn wake up. She was wrapped in a thin blanket. she tried to get up, but Hampton stopped her.
"Dont try to move ma'am. you gotta just rest for another 2 hours. the drop ship landed in a covenant outpost. we're currently a mile from their position and are in Slteath mode. Once you are ready, we'll take you in to the outpost where the ship is refueling. That plasma round did more damage than we thought. all that is left of your Spartan armor is your helmet, gauntlets, and armor from the knee down. since you are the only female on board, we dont have anything other armor for you.

The Spartan arched an eye brow. She looked down at herself and realized she was no longer in her armor. She clutched the blanket tightly, and looked back at the marine through wide eyes.. "Excuse me? I dont think im understanding the situation." Her armor was like her skin. She rarely ever took it off, and now in the midst of battle it had been destroyed. She couldn't beleive it.
I'm sorry ma'am, but the banshee fired a highly explosive anti-armor round. they must have known you were with us. There is no way we can repair it. All that remained is what i mentioned earlier (except the helmet lol). and unless we can find some Woman marine in the area, your going to have to charge into battle half-naked.
Hampton face looked confused, then he grinned
"Oh yeah, almost forgot, that suit is still intact, though it wont do much good except for covering up your skin. So now you just need to rest. i'll search for any other lost Marine units here and see if we can find a Lady Marine for you to switch armor with.
Hampton saluted
"Ye-yes ma'am!"
he ran to another part of the pelican. the medic ame to Raeyvnn's side.
"Listen, Spartan or not, you need to lie down and rest for a while."
he looked to make sure nobody was listeinig, then whisoered in her ears
"I dont mean to upset you, but that round you took to the stomach hit a vital organ. you'll never be able to have children of your own ma'am."
She brushed her dark hair from her eyes and looked at the medic. The fact didn't seem to startle her. She was a Spartan, and the biogenetic surgery had supressed her need to start a family or live a normal human life. She was nothing like the marines. "I really could care less. But thanks for letting me know..."
She rolled her eyes and stood up, holding the blanket tightly around her. He was taking too long. She needed to be suited up. She took a step foward, and a nausiating pain shot through her abdomen. She bit her lip, ignored the pain and pretended it did not exsist. The Spartan started to make her way towards where her armors remains were.
She saw the black bullet proof matte layer laying on a table along with some of her other armor. She quickly climbed into the suite and looked over her old armor. She could still wear it, b ut it would be useless now that the sheild would no longer work. Nevertheless, she was still nothing like the marines. The HUD installed into the lense over her eyes gave her a huge advantage on the battle feild, and she still had an AI implanted at the base of her skull. This was going to be a test of her strength.
Hampton walked in looking around
"well i cant seem, oh, you found it."
The medics started to tend to Kiyo, taking the same standard procedures. once he was naked, the medic took out a clip board.
"Oh boy, see this is why we need to do this. you have a cut on your leg, and its already infected. if we dont work fast, we'll have to amputate."
the medic worked as fast as he could, fixing the infection, and then healing the wound. After 15 minutes, with some instant healing powder, Kiyo was good as new. the medic didn't notice Rae. when he turned around and saw her, he yelled.
"Super soldier or not, you NEED to lay down and rest for another hour. got it?"
