USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II, EPISODE I (LIGHT SIDE)- Conspiracy

Started by Ushgarak154 pages

I already told you, Delfedd! Ask BB what Xeth's ship looks like. You see Xeth's ship!

Suddenly, a pericing light comes on, Xeth...

... and Gralus is standing there.

"My word, Xeth," he says. "When we heard you were investigating the Corsairs, we didn't think you meant that as in 'declaring a war'. You look a mess."

A mechanism lifts you slightly out of the tank so you can talk, Xeth.

Ok, Jelena, you have him- a guman, lying forwards, some fifty metres away on a low trajectory overlooking that alleyway. He's pretty low down- way too low to have shot your card down. Which means... there is more than one of them.

Xeth instinctually uses his senses to discover who it is, trying to see through the dark.

I ment about the Strage dude your talking to now.
I know your insane, thats why I allready signed him up for a thearpy session back at the temple, I heard the Jedi phycologists are quite good....

"Hello to you too, Gralus!" Xeth greets. "Did I say investigate? I should have said that our mission was to wipe them out..."

"What brings you here? I should have known you'd be in here..."

"It so happens that the Athena's Owl is one of our vessels, though it would not be a good idea to spread that. We use it to snoop in on... business. We've been monitoring your situation. The Commissar has gone home; he only comes out for vital affairs and he has already said his piece, so I am keeping track of you.

"As it seems it is all over bar the clear-up... what do you have for us?"

"Regarding the pirates? They were using slaves with implants drilled into the base of their skulls...that explained their fanatical behavior," Xeth explains. "They were supplied by Arazi, who I have run into before..."

Quick update Xeth, Who is the guy your talking too?

"Arazi... slaver from the Rim? I remember- you met him on Nar Shadda when you were dealing with Shareth and the droids there. Which was unusual, as he does not usually deal in Hutt Space. Working with pirates here is more like him... still, Anzat may not be the centre of civilisation, but this is a bit far into the Galaxy for his normal work. We're not so far out that the Republic ignores slavery here; a high risk operation for him. He's a wanted man, after all. But... from what I hear on the grapevine about the activities of your colleagues, a lot of strange risks are being taken lately as regards to leads on this case.

"Arazi got away I suppose?"

"Yes, Arazi escaped, our leader decided it would be better to talk with Strine, but ended up killing him instead..." Xeth says. "That leaves our trail cold for Arazi and the rest of the pirates."

"I do agree though...things have been odd as of late..."

"A shame," says Gralus (want to answer Tpt, BB?). "The pirates, whatever responsibilities you have to the Council aside, are irrelevant; Arazi is much bigger business, and whatever link they had to the Techno Union would have been through him. From Strine to Arazi to the Techno Union, they have gotten their hands on our missing scientist. Arazi might have been able to tell us where he had gone, or at least who he delivered him to.

"Our accusations won't be enough to achieve anything... but you have SOME evidence. Those implants could most likely be traced to the Union if you analyzed them at the Temple." He sighs. "Not that it will help much... if it wasn't deniable, they wouldn't have risked it with a loose cannon like Strine.

"But whatever it takes, Xeth... you must convince the Jedi to launch an investigation. Carlan Ryamore must be brought to book for this, Our window of opportunity is shrinking."

The techno Union with the Pirates? Twisted Fuc*!! This is serious... I dont understand... Why would the pirates need the Techno Union? Especially the ones like Strine and Azari... Mann.. Part 3 will probably be intense... This is getting very intresting...

"The circumstances just wern't right to persue Arazi, he knew we were there, and had a large head start. Attacking him would have been suicide. Even more so than our attack on Strine was." Roan said, Leaning aganst the door, He had been walking around the ship, bored and decided to check up on Xeth, He arrived just intime to hear all of the conversation, but had remained silent untill now.

You sure as heck are not there, Roan! Sorry. You'd need a shuttle and they aren't sending one. They are deliberately keeping you out.

If people want to theorise with Tidus, please feel free...

Windu, however, wants to know how what your feelings are on what to do next.

....I think that youll need to wair for me and Marcus to come by to coruscant... We need to put it pieces by pieces, all of our information but fast... Someone is killing everybody on that photo me and marcus found... Who? Maybe its those pirates? Azari is probly behind all this... But why? Plus, Ush the pic, its a pic of what? When all those peaple are celebrating, working, or what?

It was taken at the inaugral opening of that factory you found (abandoned). It is evidence of particular Techno Union interest in that factory. Someone seems very keen for details of that place to not be spread.

But they weren't killed by pirates. Many were poisoned, some died in accidents, and one, of course, was impaled on a load of spikes by Balek.

(Roan, Gralus Turandi is my contact, a detective from Taloraan, we met with him earlier...)

Xeth nods. "I will do whatever is in my power. The way they were using those slaves for violence like that is just...inhumane..." Xeth gets into a comfortable position to continue talking.

"I suppose you are right about the slave chips. Something as large as the Union wouldn't put out something like that if they couldn't deny making it in the first place..."

"Oh, they won't deny making them. They'll just say they are not theirs. The Union sells their hardware Galaxy wide.

"As to why the Union is doing this... it seems they used droids to take the scientist, which means they didn't trust these augmented soliders. A test, perhaps? We have a building portfolio that indicates that the Union is becoming increasingly interested in military applications lately. Hmmm...

"We can only go so far with this, Xeth. As you know, our attempts to obtain information surreptitiously have ended in disastrous failure. Our faith in the authorities is small but at this point it is our only option. Only three organisations have thew resources and the authority to investigate the Union. The Senate, the Courts, and the Jedi. I don't need to explain further that we rule the first two out of being useful immediately, of course.

"Whatever it takes, Xeth."

(we cant hear this right ush?)

(No, you can't...)

(Is the attacker within distance to Jump or Master Jump to?)

Xeth nods. "Whatever it takes, Gralus."

"Military applications, hmm? I take it they figured there'd be more money in it for them if there were buyers buying mechanized armies..."

"Certainly no shortage there.

We'll need to make use of you and your friends in future, Xeth. The Commissar wants to make this the start of a long relationship. This is the best chance you will ever have to strike at the reason why you hate the system, why it is the way it is. The Union represents everything foul and decadent and corrupt about the Republic. The Jedi are part of that system and try as they might, they will find their efforts largely ineffectual. Your group has the ability and capacity we need. But does it have the will?

All your friends will need to know what they are getting into."

Easily, Jelena- if you got close enough.
