Best man Speech
Ok here it is, please anyone help, does it look ok.
Its this saturday so any thoughts would help
Im sh*ting myself, usually only talk to 2 or 3 people not 31.
Firstly on behalf of the bridesmaids, I'd like to thank Gary for his kind words.
Ladies and gentlemen, what a beautiful service and what a wonderful reception. I'm overcome with emotion and it’s left me speechless – which is a bit inconvenient at this moment.
Everyone, I’m Andy, one of Gary’s closest friends for over 16 Years, and hopefully after this speech I still am.
I’d like to say how wonderful the wedding ceremony went, and how wonderful Bernadette looks today in her wedding dress, and Gary’s looking really smart.
If there’s one quality that Gary has, it’s loyalty. And it’s a loyalty that he’s had tested over the years of broken dreams and betrayed trust … as a Newcastle United fan. So Bernadette, you can rest assured that however you behave over the next 30 years, Gary will stand by you.
On a sincere note, I'd like to express my heartfelt congratulations to you both, and to thank you for choosing me as best man. Having known Gary for over half my life, I think of him more like a brother now - a slightly odd brother, maybe - but a brother nonetheless.
Gary, you have been a good friend to me over the years and I sincerely hope you have a long and happy marriage. You deserve some luck, and I think you’ve got it today marrying Bernadette. All the best mate.
So here they are, married, for better or for worse – Gary certainly couldn't have done any better and Bernadette couldn't have done much worse.
To close, I'd like to invite everyone to raise a glass and toast the bride and groom, Mr and Mrs Thompson. Gary and Bernadette, best of luck, to you both and your baby, and may you have all your heart’s desires come true.
