Our good works will not get us into heaven, it’s our decision to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. The books of John and Romans in the Bible have helped me to understand this. Read them when you have a chance. The beauty of free will and living in the U.S. is that we can choose to believe what we want to as right or as wrong as those believes may be.

I understand that you can believe what you want and live the way you want regardless of what people think about it, so please do not take this as a dig. I am just a fan concerned about your eternal destiny. Thanks for listening to my rant.

If you help the needy and poor, God will give you a bonus in the next life. I think you need to read the Bible more carefully before spilling off mindless platitudes.

Now for your questions. I believe mechanical Vader could defeat Grievous. Vader can fire Force lightning, but he chooses not to use this particular Force power.

Mr. Lucas. Do you believe in GOD or Jesus even? I ask because when I watch Episodes 1 - 6 I see so much relation to GOD that I began to wonder no one but a GOD-fearing man could write such a story, just like the Matrix 1 movie. As a Christian, I believe no one can think of a thought that GOD hasn’t seen. I’m not condemning you or anything I like your movies. I just wanted to know your religious background.

George Lucas: Yes, I believe in God. I follow the teachings of Jesus very stringently. My denomination is Methodist. The Star Wars films have been hugely influenced by religion especially Christianity.

Seriously... if God hasnt wanted to strike him with lightning yet, this should be the last straw. And since when has Lucas been a Methodist?

It is so sad SS's lack of Biblical Knowledge. I have been in the faith for almost 4 years nowe, was once a Methodist (they do not teach what SS ooops I mean lucas states. I am getting ready to take classes on becoming a minister for my Denomination I belong to now (Church of the Brethren) And It is SS's Blasphomy that anger's me more than his stupidity on the subject of Star Wars. And S.S. If you are reading this in the book of James it tells us that Faith without work's is useless, It is the same the other way around. Good work's will not get you into Heaven alone. SuperShadow, greetings from Ireland. (SuperShadow: Irish women are hot.) I have a question regarding the Obi Wan vs. Anakin fight on Mustafar. When Obi-Wan chops off Anakin’s legs and his arm, where do they go? (SuperShadow: Lucas says that Anakin‘s appendages are consumed by the molten lava.) His light sabre remains so they can’t have been melted, did they roll into the lava river? (SuperShadow: Yes.)

If so, why didn’t Anakin himself roll into the river and be consumed? (SuperShadow: It was the will of the Force for Anakin to survive.) Also if the arms and legs did survive, why didn’t the Emperor reattach them? (SuperShadow: Hahaha. Why didn‘t Anakin retrieve his arm that he lost in the duel with Dooku in Attack of the Clones? You need to remember that Star Wars is science fiction that makes little or no sense.)

I can just see Mickey asking Lucas "hey what happened to his arms and legs once they got cut off?" 😂

I never said that good works get you into Heaven. What I stated was that you are rewarded for good deeds in Heaven. Of course, you have to accept Jesus as your personal savior and ask forgiveness for all yours sins. We all know that. Somebody wrote in saying that good works are meaningless. I was just dipping in to my massive religious knowledge to explain Christianity to those who are not very bright.

I know you can’t help having a low I.Q. You aren’t much to look at and you’re dirt poor. Don’t let this get you down. There is still hope. In The Empire Strikes Back, Han Solo gets the *&%# shocked out of him on Bespin by Vader's torture chair. Why is it that Chewbacca only has to put up with a "fire alarm" going off for a few minutes and Leia isn't seen getting tortured at all? Luke sees Han and Leia in his vision, but only Han is seen being hurt on screen. (SuperShadow: Vader had a particular hate for Han due to a run in Vader had with Han’s father. Vader ended up having to kill Han’s father. Vader remembered how much trouble Han’s father caused him and decided to torture Han as much as possible.)
