WTF? It was blue in the previews because (like the title Revenge of the Jedi becoming Return of the Jedi) they decided to change it from blue to green. It's like this. At first they wanted Luke to have a blue lightsaber but as they were drawing closer to the end they decided "hey why not give Luke a green lightsaber?" Just like Lucas went, "hey instead of Revenge of the Jedi why not call it Return of the Jedi?"
