(SuperShadow: No, I don’t think so. Qui-Gon would have perished.) And if so, would Mace have been killed before Qui-Gon? (SuperShadow: Nothing would have changed. Qui-Gon would have been killed by Sidious in a matter of micro seconds.) And if Qui-Gon had been in Mace’s place with Palpatine at his mercy, would Anakin still have done the same thing to Qui-Gon as he did to Mace? (SuperShadow: What a fantastic question. I doubt Anakin would have been able to cut off Qui-Gon’s hand. Anakin would have allowed Qui-Gon to strike down Sidious. The fate of the entire galaxy would have changed. No Empire.)
