Could lightsaber cut Wolverines claws?

k....well u obviously werent listening to anythhing i said....u just want to keep posting ur own opinions and not address anything i type...im not a star wars fan....I like wolverine...however...i was just stating the facts...a Jedi has vast fighting skills...they train their whole lives...regardless they would be a match for wolverine....he is not the best fighter...Electra, black panther, and Mr. X have all kicked his ass...im not saying a jedi would kick his ass but they should at least hold their own....furthermore...a jedi has a cosmic awareness due to their sense of the force...thus wolverine cant likely surprise them or overwhelm them with his attacks since they know whats coming...next, using the force they can control objects...like telekenesis...they could easily use this to throw wolvie, or an object into him, or through him....how about their superior cordination?...how Anakin was able to pilot that speeder in the race, even though he was just a child.....regardless, the point of this forum is "Could a lightsaber cut wolverine's claws?"....if u look at the star wars encyclopedia it will explain how a lightsaber works(theorhetically) and inside of it is a crystal that produces incredibly strong archs of gravitational energy that can cut virtually anything...they r not made of light...but some objects have shown they will not be cut by a lightsaber on the first strike, like some really good hand held weapons...or other weapons protected by an energy field...for example, when Qui Gon fought Maul, he landed several blows to the center handle of Mauls lightsaber but it was not cut...eventually however, Obi Wan did cut it....i think wolverine's claws would also hold up to a few strikes, but no one knows if they could indefinitely, being they r two totally different universes...these r mostly facts and in my opinion more convincing than just saying "i think wolverine would win 9/10 because he is really cool!"

a jedi could just choke Wolverine out Darth Vader style. he still needs air to live.

not necesarily. a jedi could kill wolverine but not that way. sabretooth has the same powers and survived having wolvie's claw popped through his brain quite well.

the only way to kill wolverine would be to disembowel and decapitate him, or to destroy his internal organs by shoving him into some incredibly hot molten metal or plasma. asphyxiation would work too. so a force choke would work best. so a sith would probably have an easier time than a jedi.

i wonder how many people die while superman puts on his uniform??????????

I think just gutting him severly i mean really open him up will do the trick. he WOULD bleed to death

I read your entire post and took into account what you were saying. However, I was addressing not only yours but also others as well. Some here, if you go back, stated that a Jedi would take out Logan easily, that's what I have a problem with. The problem with this fight is which Jedi is Wolverine facing: an elite like Obi or just a regular nobody Jedi. An elite Jedi holding his own against Logan I'll agree with (I've even stated this earlier), but I disagree that a regular Jedi would hold his own. And where did I say Logan wins because he's really cool Wynndar? Who's not reading who's post now?

Hell, I like Wolverine but also hate him for being Marvel's favorite (beating Exdous, Magneto, etc.). My only problem is with the argument by some that any Jedi would take out Logan. Furthermore, there's alot of statements about a Jedi landing saber blows into Wolvie (in the eye socket, for instance) yet does NOT say anything about Logan land a blow or two with his claws. It sounds as if a Jedi (because they're a Jedi) is able to land blows at their opponent but the same can't be said about the opponent hitting a Jedi.

I know what you mean. better hero's/villains take backseat due to his huge popularity.

What do you mean by it SHOULD happen? Are you refering to Logan beating Exodus, Mageto, etc? I have a problem with Logan taking down someone like Exodus who gave the Avengers hell on Genosha during Blood and Ties. If it were Thor or X-Man or Gladiator kicking the crap out of Exodus than it's exceptable. But Logan beating him is just pure bullsh*t.

beyonder, i wasnt necessarily quoting anyone about the "really cool" thing...i was just mocking people that were being fanboys and think wolverine would win just because...why would a jedi land more blows than logan? like i said, their sense of the force would let them know whats coming...thats why it is so hard for a jedi to be killed in hand to hand combat...only a sith, who also has a sense of the force...or anyone else with a powerful spiritual sense, like shang chi...would be be proficient at fighting a jedi...also a sith can use the dark side to cloud and impede a jedi's powers....wolvie however has no spiritual or force sense...he couldnt even hurt dracula with a crucifix...there is no such thing as a crappy jedi...some of them just happen to be exceptional...but they r all well trained hand to hand/lightsaber armed fighters, and any well trained fighter with an unbreakable weapon would be a match for wolvie

lol just what i was about to say... also a Jedi would not just slash wolverine and wait for him to regenerate he would most likely disfigure him to the point where he is unreckognisable (wtf i cant spell) and as stated wolverine couldnt do much to hurt him due to the mini cloreance (holy shit im going dumb) wich is why in the movies when Jedi are fighting Sith that it aint over in 2 seconds coz they can sense where there opponents next move will be. 😑

I don't think a Jedi is a better fighter than Wolverine, or vice versa. They're about equal, I guess. But Wolverine is tougher, possibly stronger, at least as fast, has a healing factor and his superb senses. O yeah, and his claws and unbreakable skeleton. And probably has more experience than a "normal" Jedi. As long as a Jedi does not cut him in two, I think Wolverine will win.

In my opinion, a Jedi only can kill/beat Wolverine by cutting him with their lightsabers. Wolverine is no Sherlock Holmes, but when he sees a Jedi walking towards him with a lightsaber, he will KNOW that he has to be careful, so he will try to avoid that lightsaber. Mind tricks (he has a strong personality and a bit of resistance against telepathic attacks) and some lame telekinesis will not harm Wolverine.

So it all comes down to the lightsaber...

I think he can avoid a lightsaber. Jedis are not THAT fast. And Jedis can not always sense what the enemy will be doing next, ask Qui-Gon Jinn for that matter. Or ask it Luke when he lost his hand. Ok, I know, they were fighting powerful Siths, but still, it's a big difference between "sensing" what the enemy will do and being able to prevent it.

A Jedi like Vader and so can beat Wolverine, I'm pretty sure. But your everyday Jedi has no chance, Wolverine will eat them for breakfast and use their lightsabers as toothpick.

And no, I'm not that Wolverine fan, though I like him. But I think he could take a normal Jedi. Any day.
