Ok, I'll set an example 😉
I'm not really a fan of Barbossa, as I thought he was nasty without being attractive ((Jack can be as nasty as he likes! 😉 )) but I am a big fan of Geoffrey Rush. He brought a touch of humanity to Barbossa's nasty character, and you could begin to understand the 'why?' of his actions.
I agree, Phoenix. 🙂 It could have been a very flat character, like a cartoon bad guy, but Geoffrey Rush gave the role a difference.
The conversations Barbossa has with Jack always make me laugh, just because Barbossa keeps trying to get rid of Jack, and Jack just keeps comin' right on back. 😄
[Just thought I'd chip in my two cents and help you keep this thing on topic... for a couple posts, anyway... 😉 ]

Yeah, I agree.
I still think that the comment at the beginning, when they were talking about the Black Pearl being crewed by the damned etc, about the Black Pearl being captained by a man "so evil hell itself spat him back out again"... I mean, Barbossa was evil, but I didn't find him that evil... 😕
