i personally dont consider Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, Beyblade, or any other cartoon that was made basically for marketing purposes, anime. i call them cartoons. they just happen to be made in the japanese style.
i also dont call Dragonball Z or GT anime, they are just action toons. i do consider the original Dragonball anime though. fairly good(and oroginal) story and cool fight sequences. DBZ and DBGT are just long drawn out repetitive action battles. Goku dies every saga for craps sake!

... you do realize that anime is simply Japanese animation, right? It has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the show.

Anime is Japanese animation. You personally don't consider these examples of Japanese animation to be Japanese animation because they suck? Um ... whatever floats your boat, I guess. But Ranma 1/2 does kick ass.

maybe i chose the wrong choice of words, but whatever, if you cant see my point, ill think of something. and nothing you or i(or anyone else for that matter) can say will change the fact that they suck.

Eell thats a matter of perspective,i think Pokemon,Digimon,YugiOh,ect is really cute...one main thing is to not jusdge these anime on their dubbed-ness(actually the original YugiOH was really violent/the Pokemon was really sexual)i guess theres somthing good to say about any anime.I can't stand the critisizum these 3 get...expecially because their aimed at younger audiances.Well,at least i HOPE you people who critisize them know this.

i know Yu Gi Oh was originally violent, that was a kick ass season, too bad they'll never bring it to america. they really downplayed it though and made it crappy. i know they are aimed at younger audiences...and when i was younger i hated them too. i was like...13 when Pokemon first came out in the US? i still hate it. maybe because i dont like 'cute and cuddly' things

yeh...Pokemon monsters tend to be a bit on the cute siide..-_-

I love Digimon...and if you've ever read the Yugioh manga, it's really violent. I don't care for the Yugioh anime, and I used to watch Pokemon, but I really haven't watched it in about 4 years.

Um, among the actual anime watchers I know, the most popular is Trigun, definately trigun.

Ok well it looks like DBZ is really popular. It's kind of strange though beacause I don't really like DBZ. Oh well this isn't for my opinion alone though.

I think Cowboy Bebop is because I have not even gotten to see it, and I know about it. A lot of my friends love it. And I am suppose to see it sometime with one of my friends.
