So unfair

I was checking out online how much the local supermarket is selling Lord of the Rings: Return of the King DVD for, price £17.97. They however have a boxset of all three movies for £32.89 which is £10.96 per film. 😠

Does anyone else think its unfair? I brought the other two movies on their release dates and also have the Limited Edition box sets with the extended versions and the figures etc. Why does it always feel like loyalty is never rewarded? I had a similar grip with my Star Trek TNG dvds, on purchasing series 7 on its release date as per other series i find a £10 voucher for series 1 or 2, what use was that.

I knew from the beginning that a Trilogy box set was on it's way. Here in the States, the Trilogy set is the same price as buying all 3 individually.

I suppose I knew myself that there would be a trilogy set out, but myself like many couldn't wait, I saw all three at the cinema, I brought the DVD, then I brought the DVD EE with the cool bookends and the Golumn statue and now i've brought ROTK and i'll but the EE with whatever it comes with.

Its cool (from my point of view) that in the US that the box set price is the same as buying all 3 movies, and I would love it if the same where true here, can you imagine what would have been said if no one brought the first two films on dvd because they were waiting for the box set???? It would have been a flop!!!!!
I belive a similar thing has happened with 24, I love that show to bits, I never watched the first 2 series on TV I brought the DVDs and watched them virtually back to back, now the ratings were reported as being down for the 3rd series and I honest belive that a lot of people, like myself are waiting for the DVD release because they cant stand to wait for a week inbetween episodes!
