The Hunt for Red October

I just finished this book yesterday and thought it was great. Has anyone else read it? I also wonder if anyone know how realistic this books is, does anyone know how it actualy is on a Submarine?

I am deffinitivly going to read the rest of the Tom Clancy books about Jack Ryan, anyone know if they are any good?

I watched the movie...was it depicted well?

Yeah, very well. Therefore it felt very realistic.

According to my cousin, who was a Chief petty officer in the Royal Navy, the scenes set on Invincible are spot on... and he should know... he spent seven years aboard.... according to a friend of his, a PO in submarines, the descriptions of the American subs are about right... he was on one for cross training for about three months... as to the Russian subs I can't comment...

Was the book like the movie??

I saw the movie which is excellent...... Books dont have to be like thier movies though I dont think,I dunno........
