Automatic Reloading

I just signed up to these forums, and they seem great, in both community atmosphere and functionality, except for one thing up to now. When one uses shift+click on a forum link to a category or thread, it will open in a new window as it is supposed to, but will also load in the original page.

I mostly use Opera for browsing, and to save time and bandwidth, since highspeed internet is unavailable in my region, I open every thread by using shift+ctrl+click to open a new tab in the backround, but with the current redirection setup, I am unable to do this, and must right-click every thread, and click "Open in New Tab" to open the thead in a new tab without loading it in the original tab.

I'm unsure why this would be happening, but there aren't any problems in IE or Mozilla/FireFox.

Maybe time to switch browsers? FireFox has most of the functionalities of Opera, and it's free: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

The same thing happens in both IE and Mozilla/Firefox, when you hold shift and click a link to open it in a new window, it will do so, and also load the original window to the link you clicked.

I don't think it's time to switch browsers, I've been using Opera and Firefox for a long time, and recently bought Opera to remove the ads, and support development, since I found I've been using Opera a lot more than Firefox.

What version of IE are you using, Fire? Maybe it's that, or could it be the OS? Computer I'm on has WinXP Pro with IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 just to be precise-- maybe it has something to do with that?

It's win XP Pro (now I'm looking for the version of IE I can't find it, just be the latest one there is)
