On my sig... it kinda looks like the pawn has so many choices about where to go, so many empty fields... but realistically there is no choice at all, just one place where he can really go, the white field directly in front of him...
I kinda think it's often the same in RL... you think you can choose, but the choice isn't yours at all, the possibility to choose was lost when the rules of life were written 😐

Actually, if its the pawns first move, he can go to the black square two infront 😉 ✅.
