I never thought of that

But... just read the Narn i-Chîn Húrin... or the history of the Silmarils themselves... pure Murphyism 😂

Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse

and in the end trying to correct the wrong they themselves made more wrongs....

a conundrum: what's right is wrong and what's wrong is right and vice a versa...

Ooowww that sounds too much like Macbeth too me 😖

I'd rather say

What's right is wrong

And what's wrong is wrong anyways

Why confuzzilied? 😄

Sig? 🙂

I once made a house of stone on sand, but the house was too heavy so it sank.

I made a house of stick on stone, but the house was too light and the wind blew it away.

I then made a house of straw, but when I went to light a fire to cook, the house burned...

moral of the story: there is none 😛

I got up too early 😛 Shakespeare...^_^

Sig=Dernhelm 😄

fingolfin was a victim of vatch 22

he wanted to fight melkor, therefore he is insane, and is unfit to and shouldnt.

if he didnt want to, it makes him perfectly sane which makes him fit to.

shakespeare was the original quote meister...

a rose by any other name would still be a rose...

i revised that story from the bible...but enough of that...

✅ ✅ like in Tolkien's works (😛), each and every single sentence could be used as a brilliant quote... argh... if I just could remember them 🙁 *needs to buy more Shakespeare in english* < German translations are horrible 😘 😘

a rose by any other name would still be a rose...

taken literally -
Sadly, yes
This is where the power of language ends 🙁 in the end language is just the inaccomplishable try to give everything names... which will never help if different people use different names 🙁
Would be great if a Rose would be something different if you'd call it Meril... or maybe Hellebore or Foxglove or Jonquil or something like that 😖 weird 😂
I wish language could change things
Some people believe that knowing the "real" name of a thing gives you power over it... would be interesting...

Hiya AE 🙂

again, never seen the show...is that like Benny Hill???

😂

But he has subjected me to hours of pointless talking by a teacher. His works are good - the lessons are not.
