The relationship man has with God, or a god, is so that man can shift responsibility away from man to that of a higher being incapable of acquiring all of man’s inequities, however the standards have been set by those very men who claim its’ rightness. For God or a god is beyond humanity therefore is absolved of all of humanities carnal desires, hopes, dreams, or wants and to an extent its’ lack.
And so in creating, or imagining such a higher being, man has reinterpreted our own laws and moralities as divine inspiration, thus in turn used that very idea of divine inspiration in creating human laws based on man’s interpretation of those very divine decree. Thou shalt not kill for it is a sin therefore punishable by suffering eternal pain and agony beyond human comprehension
