actually sauron did die

as did saruman

they didng go to mandos or whatever, so they had to wander alone all alone gettign weaker, and weaker and weaker, until they got so weak, that even thor was stronger, then they disapeared

Saruman may have been dead effectively for a while before being killed - note how his body rotted away immediately 🙁
